Every figure on this page comes from our HVAC and heating work. Ontario.Associates serves all kinds of trades, but our published case studies are heating and cooling companies, so we label them as results from our HVAC work and nothing more. Advisors are trained to ask what a number actually measures, so this page answers that question for each one.

Reading these numbers as an advisor would
A careful reader separates three kinds of figures:
- Visibility figures such as traffic and rankings. Roma Heating & Cooling's 400% organic traffic growth and CombiBoiler.ca's 500+ page-1 rankings show that more people found these businesses through search. They don't, on their own, show revenue.
- Lead figures such as BCWide.ca's tripling in 90 days and CanroHeat.ca's 250% growth. Leads are enquiries; some become jobs and some don't.
- Return figures such as HVACDeal.ca's 12:1 ROI and CombiBoiler.ca's 300% ROI. These are the closest to what an accountant cares about, though how each business calculated its return isn't standardised.
That's exactly why our reports for referred clients focus on booked jobs and cost per booked job. Those figures can be checked against the owner's own records. See advisor-ready reporting.
What these results show about the method
Across these companies, the same pattern repeats:
- Pages built around specific services and areas, so the business appears when someone searches for exactly what it does, where it does it.
- Tracking that ties enquiries to sources, so spending can follow what works.
- Patience with search, speed with ads. BCWide.ca's 90-day result shows change within a quarter; Roma's traffic growth took a year to build.
What transfers to other trades, and what doesn't
Transfers well: service-and-area pages, a well-kept Google Business Profile, review routines, call tracking and cost-per-job reporting. These work for plumbers, electricians and roofers in much the same way.
Doesn't transfer automatically: the size of the numbers. HVAC has large replacement jobs and sharp seasonal peaks. A drain company with smaller, more frequent jobs, or a landscaper with a short season, will see a different shape. Local competition matters too; a Toronto market behaves differently from a smaller centre, as our areas pages explain.
How we'd measure a referred client
For a trades business referred by an accountant, lawyer or lender, we agree three things at the start:
- The baseline: current enquiries, booked jobs and marketing spend per month.
- The measure: cost per booked job and the average value of those jobs.
- The review point: usually three months for a first fair read, and twelve to see the full seasonal cycle.
A simple check: if a client's average job contributes $600 after direct costs and marketing wins jobs at $150 each, every booked job adds $450. If cost per job climbs above $600, the marketing is losing money, and the report will say so plainly.
What we will never claim
No promised leads, no promised rankings, no forecasts presented as facts and no borrowed results from other sectors. If that makes this page more modest than some, that's intentional. Read more about how we work or see the pricing.
Frequently asked questions
Are any of these results from Ontario companies?
Our published case studies don't break results down by province, and we won't imply local results we can't show. The method is the same across Canada; local conditions, covered on our area pages, change how it's applied.
Can you forecast results for my client?
No. We can show the arithmetic a plan rests on and measure progress monthly, but no honest marketer can promise a number of leads or a return. Be cautious of anyone who does.
What does ROI mean in these case studies?
It compares the return a client attributed to marketing with what the marketing cost. Definitions vary between businesses, which is why our own reports for referred clients show cost per booked job, a figure an advisor can check directly.
Do you have results for plumbers or electricians?
Our published case studies are HVAC results, and we don't present them as plumbing, electrical or roofing results. What transfers is the method, which this page explains.
